IMCS Continued Learning and Action Program (CLAP) on Abuse- Children and Young People 

IMCS Asia Pacific organized the CLAP Workshop on Abuse Children and Young People In collaboration with the International Youth Training Centre (IYTC), the UNTL-Human Rights Centre and the Children’s Rehabilitation Center (CRC). As a follow-up to this program, the student movement in Bangladesh conducted the workshop to train Garo Indigenous Youth through capacity building about child abuse. 

IMCS AP-Women Empowerment and Gender Equity Commission

Conducted a 16 day campaign of activism against gender-based violence. The engagement comes from commission members, national movements’ members and leaders to partner organizations. The issues which had been raised throughout the campaign were about domestic violence, early child marriage, GBV against women with disabilities, and gender-based violence. 

Election of Asia Pacific Coordinator (South Asia) for mandate term January 2024 – December 2026

The election of the Asia Pacific Coordinator (South Asia) was concluded on 12 December and the coordination officially announced the newly elected IMCS Asia Pacific Coordinator for the term of January 2024-December 2026 by 19 December 2023. 

Suman is a young indigenous person from the Ghale Indigenous community in Nepal and a pivotal member of IMCS Nepal. His active involvement with the Indigenous Peoples Youth Commission (IPYC) under IMCS Asia Pacific has significantly shaped his journey, contributing to his growth as a compassionate individual devoted to serving others.
