I’m  Rosaria Thu from Moving School Vietnam 2024. And I would like to reflect by responding to a few questions below:

What knowledge did you get from this program?

Through this program, I have been exposed to many new concepts about social life, such as: neoliberalism , precarious labor, floating population, post-money and time poverty, and the pressure of flexible job roles, as well as the increasing reverse migration and the emergence of educational business.

In terms of the migration issue, I have learned about the multidimensional challenges in this field, to help our migrants, we not only need knowledge and understanding of culture, human rights, and laws… but more importantly, we need to carry their hearts, they need to be spiritually trained for integration and genuine faith communities are really necessary and important to them.

We have new concepts in inter-religious: the religious market, religious supermarkets, and I had the opportunity to encounter a new religion, which is Minh Ly Dao. I gained many insights into this religion. It’s really fascinating.Leadership like Jesus introduces a new concept of leadership, along with intriguing new keywords such as: Edging God Out and Exalting God Only.

About 71% of Earth’s surface is covered by water, but only about 2.5% of it is freshwater. Within that, most of it is in the form of inaccessible groundwater, with only about 0.5% being freshwater available for human use.

What challenged you after this program?

The challenge for me after this program is to move beyond my limitations, to dare to share, and to practice a lifestyle in the spirit of Laudato Si’. How to implement personal projects and how long those actions will last?

What changed in you after this program?

What has changed for me is my attitude towards interfaith dialogue. The answer still lies in opening my heart to the world, expanding my heart to embrace everything new. Previously, I was very afraid to visit the places of worship of other religions, and I also had many negative thoughts about them. After being able to visit and listen to the sharing from the believers in your religion, I felt like I was opened up to many things, expanding my narrow and selfish thoughts. I used to always think that my religion was the best and look down on other religions. However, I have learned respect, the beauty of religion, and their spiritual beauty from them.

How do you feel after learning from this program?

My feelings after the course: I feel grateful to the creators of the course, and I recognize the challenges that both the Church and Society are facing, seeing them as challenges for myself, my family, and friends. I sense a spiritual connection among sincere hearts serving humanity and nature (in my belief, it could be that God is using us to address the issues that humanity and nature are facing). Lastly, I perceive the youthfulness in each member of the program, seeing their aspirations for the world, and their efforts to help humanity.

What kinds of acts will you do after learning from this program?

The actions I can take right now include: praying more for social and environmental issues, cultivating habits of conserving water, electricity, and cherishing clean water sources, limiting the use chemicals such as fabric softeners, floor cleaners, and detergents; reusing plastic bottles, paper, sorting waste for recycling, refraining from shopping when it’s truly unnecessary.*
