Enlarge the Space of your Tent
Maktaba-e-Anaveem Pakistan (MAP) conducted a seminar from 23-24 February 2023 at Theological Institute for Laity (TIL), G. T. Road Sadhoke, Distt. Gujranwala. The theme of the seminar was “Enlarge the Space of Your Tent”. During this seminar the following topics were shared by the speakers: Vatican Council II-Overview by Mrs. Alishbah Javed Akhtar; Enlarge the Space of your Tent: Introduction by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Asi; The Experience of the Synodal Journey by Mr. Albert Nazir; Towards a Missionary Synodal Church by Mr. Riaz David; Listening to the Scripture by Mr. Shamoon Gill; Journey of Synodality-The Next Step by Ms. Naureen Akhtar. During these sessions and workshops, the participants shared and discussed through group workshops and presentations.
Book Launch
On the sideline of the program a newly published book entitled Theological Reprints Issue No. 31 Mission and Evangelization” and Enlarge the Space of Your Tent was launched. Ms. Nomi Munir (Publication In charge-MAP) presented the book introduction of Issue no. 31. In total 35 (Female 19 + Male 16) participants attended this seminar from different parts of Pakistan.
Punjabi Wisdom Sayings
A seminar under Formation and Education- Art & Spirituality head was held on 1st and 2nd March 2023 at Theological Institute for Laity (TIL), G. T. Road Sadhoke, Distt Gujranwala. The topic of the seminar was “Punjabi Wisdom Sayings”. In the commencing session of the seminar on 01 March 2023 symbolically the lighting of the lamp ceremony was enlightened by the participants. A total of 34 participants attended this seminar. During this seminar, the following topics were presented by the speakers: My Mother Tongue: My Identity by Mr. Baba Najmi; Wisdom Sayings & Anthropology by Mr. Baba NajmiRev. Presided by Fr. Emmanuel Asi; Wisdom Sayings & Folk Wisdom by Rev. Fr. Mukhtar Alam Presided by Mr. Iqbal Qasier; Wisdom Sayings and Life Renewal by Mrs. Saiqa Rehmat Presided by Mr. Ehsan Bajwa; Punjabi Wisdom Sayings and Social Ethics by Mrs. Kaniz Manzoor Presided by Pastor Shahzad Illyas (Lahore).
Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women
Maktaba-e-Anaveem PAK (MAP)- Women Theological Forum conducted a seminar from 23-25 March-2023 at Joti Center Mirpurkhas. The theme of the seminar was “Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women”. Eva Baillie from Germany shared her views during the seminar via Zoom. A total of 39 participants attended this seminar from different places in Pakistan.

Theological Capacity Building Program (TCBP): Contextual Theology: Introduction- Introducing Liberation Theology
Maktaba-e-Anaveem Pakistan (MAP) conducted an annual Theological Capacity Building Program (TCBP) for MAP Coordinators, Asst. Coordinators and members. The program was conducted from 14-17 June 2023 at the central office of Theological Institute for Laity (TIL), G. T. Road Sadhoke, Distt. Gujranwala. The main theme of the program was “Contextual Theology: Introduction-Introducing Liberation Theology”. During these sessions and workshops, the participants shared and discussed through group workshops and presentations. During the certification ceremony, the participants were awarded with a certificate of participation. The certification distribution by Mr. Yousaf Gill (MAP Board Member) and by Mrs. Alishbah Javed Akhtar (Directress-MAP). A total of 37 participants (men and +women) attended this four days Theological Capacity Building Program (TCBP) from different parts of Pakistan.
